RAW image field correction test on a TI45 f/4

M106 field. A very good raw test on a TI45 f/4. Single 90 sec, unguided, uncalibrated frame, taken with a KAF16803 (37 x 37 mm CCD sensor). Sky was medium-bad (SQM about 20.1, Poor seeing about FWHM 2,6″).

A Quartz Lightweight Blank for a TI35 Astrograph

Holding a 362 mm diameter quartz blank in your hand and having the impression that it is made of plastic … it’s fantastic😃   –    Fused Silica (Quartz) performs an awesome thermal expansion coefficient of 5.4 x 10-7/ , 6 time less than borosilicate glasses, harder enough to allow better figuring process and advantage in terms of strength to density ratio.
